New Blog Look and NYC

Well, I have made some changes to my blog, and who knows, I may not be done playing around!
Here is a picture of a dress that we saw at Mood Fabrics in NYC. For those of you that are Project Runway fans...that is the store that they always bought their fabrics in. If indeed you are a fan of the show I think it starts again tomorrow only they changed it to Lifetime channel. This dress is awesome because it hasn't been sewn at all...it is completely pinned to the mannequin.

The next few pictures show us with some fabrics there. The reason why we took pictures of them is because we each own blouses made out of the fabrics! Maybe you had to be there but we sure thought it was funny...

Last Post on Maine!

I wanted to share with you a few more picture's from Maine and then in my next post I will move on to the last leg of our trip east....none other than NYC! The bottom picture is the room where I taught all three of my classes. On Sunday I taught Mommie's ties and I just love that class! You can see a picture of one of the student's fan as she was piecing it. She wanted it to look like a peacock and I think she accomplished it. We took some pictures of the student's fans as they finished piecing them and I think they all turned out beautifully! The lavender fan is Dixie's...

More on Maine Quilts

Here are some more pictures from my trip to Maine. The event was held at the August Civic Center and as you can see, there were alot of quilts displayed! All of them were beautiful! The two pictured were done by Jeanne who had given us a ride from the airport. I think she is an excellent quilter! I think they told me that it took around 400 volunteers to make this event go off without a hitch and it was very well done...

Until next time,

Val

The Pink Bunny is back from Maine!

We'll I am finally back from Maine and am ready to report on my trip! I had a wonderful time at Maine Quilt's and I want to thank everyone involved in the opportunity I had to teach there. They had many beautiful quilt's displayed and many wonderful vendors!

Both Karen Stone and myself were on the same flight from Atlanta, so one volunteer picked up myself, Karen and Dixie. Her name was Jeanne and we had the best time! She asked us if there was anything we would like to do before we drove the hour to Augusta where Maine Quilt's was held. All of us unanimously agreed, we wanted to see the Atlantic ocean, eat lobster and see a light house! We did all three of them as you can see! Keep checking back and I'll write more and show you more picture's later this week.

On a side note, I am not much of a picture taker, so....all of the picture's posted here were courtesy of Dixie. Thanks so much for letting me borrow them.

TTYL,

Val
